Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson born to British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby & Chris Watson in Paris, France. They relocated to Oxfordshire when she was five years old and attended the Dragon School. When she was six years old, Emma knew she was going to become an actor and for several years, she was a student at the Oxford Branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts a part-time theater school, where she learned singing dancing and acting. At the age of ten she was involved as the lead in numerous Stagecoach School plays and productions. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone, the 2001 film adaptation from J.K. Rowling's bestselling book was cast in 1999. Emma was discovered by agent through her Oxford teacher. David Heyman told Emma along with Rupert Grint, Daniel Radcliffe that they had all been through eight consecutive auditions. The debut of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) was Emma's debut on the screen in cinema. The most successful film of 2001, the film set records in its first day sales as well as the opening weekend's earnings. The film was praised by critics who praised the film, particularly the young performers. The Daily Telegraph in Britain and the Daily Telegraph in America, widely read the newspaper, described her performance as outstanding. Then Emma was nominated for five awards for her role in the film, winning her the Young Artist Award for Leading Actress of a Younger in a feature Film.
