Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The Latin popular music scene is being influenced by his globular impact. Una Lady Como Tu, the song that he released in 2016, received the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for Best Song. In 2017, he released ADN which was his debut long-player with La Industria Inc. in Medellin. The album peaked at the rank of eight in the Top Latin Albums charts. The following year, he joined forces with Ozuna to make Vaina Loca, it was a Top Five hit. In 2020, he dropped his charting sophomore album Dopamina and collaborated on Mala Influencia along with Noriel. In 2021, he appeared as a duo with TINI on her smash streaming song Maldita Foto. 2000, which featured the smash record La Bachata appeared in 2023. Turizo was raised in a musical family, his father and brother are also musicians. He's said in interviews that music is compulsory. In his childhood he was taught to play the saxophone, piano and guitar. While his initial goal was becoming a veterinarian, his brother Julian encouraged him to take singing lessons with a Cuban.
