Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit, an Indian actress famous for Hum Aapke Hing Koun (Beta Saajan) and Beta Saajan is among the most popular Indian actors. She began her career in the early 1980s and was introduced to fame with her appearance in Tezaab, a film where she starred alongside the veteran actor Anil Kapoor. In the following film, she starred in the film Dil In which she shared the screen with Aamir Khan. In Mumbai, she was raised by middle class parents. From a very early age, she started to take dance lessons. Her first attempt at acting was as an early child and struggled for a few years as most of her films at first were flops. However, she eventually achieved success and was able to establish herself as one of the most prominent actors in the Indian industry of film. After marriage, she had an absence from work and then returned to entertainment. She recently was a key player in Gulaab Gang about Indian women. Dixit has been nominated for 15 Filmfare Awards, out of which she received eight. In addition, she was awarded her Padma Shri the fourth highest civilian distinction in India. She is well-known for her charitable work as well.
